My names Aaron Curtis and here’s a little history on myself.

Training

In the past I’ve done 2 years Bachelor of Arts In Music at the College of The Arts/Melbourne University. This included an in depth study of various synthesizers.

Studied with famed american jazz piano player Mickey Tucker for a year.

Also studied jazz/contemporary piano with steve sedergreen who’s a popular local melbourne jazz pianist with various tv debuts under his belt and is a prominent figure in the Australian jazz scene.

Before jazz I studied classical piano for about 5 years.

As a kid I first started out learning the organ for about two and a half years.

Band/Recording Experience:

For a number of years I played with former melbourne boy band ‘ilanda’, I did most of the arranging and pre/post production on they’re albums/singles.

I’ve toured asia with that band, places including Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Indonesia. With ilanda I’ve played alongside Tommy Emmanuel, Christine Anu, Human Nature, Color Me Bad, Denny Hines and have been support act for James Brown, Shaggy, Earth Wind & Fire, Marsha Hines and Peter Andre.

Have backed up Peter Andre and I also did the brass arrangements on his hit remake of  “Get Down On It”  by Kool And The Gang.

Television

Whilst with ‘ilanda’ we did tv stints on

• Home and Away

• Neighbors

• On several occasions. I also did a performance on ‘Hey Hey Its Saturday’ with ‘ Toni Peren ‘.
